How can we help?

While the pilot runs, we install the app with you when we set up your farm, and send updates to your phone. It will be on Google Play soon, and this page will link to it.

Mkuu-lima works on Android phones, and in a web browser at app.rethinkorganic.org.

Sign up: enter your phone number, type the 6-digit code we text you, choose a PIN, and add your name.

Sign in: your phone number and your PIN, like M-Pesa. No code is needed to sign in.

On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot PIN? We text a code to your number; enter it and choose a new PIN. This also unlocks an account locked after three wrong PINs.

• In the app, open Me → My SMS alerts and check alerts are on for your farm.
• Check the sensor has power and Wi-Fi. If the app says a sensor is late or silent, it can't send readings.
• Alerts go to the phone number on your account. If your number changed, tell us.

Still nothing? Call us and we'll check the sensor from our side.

If you're the farm's owner, open the farm's Team and choose Invite someone. Enter their phone number and choose Manager or Worker. If they already have Mkuu-lima, they'll see the invitation in the app. If not, we text them, and they join when they sign up with that number within 14 days.

Yes, for recording. Feeding, moves, stage changes and harvests you record without signal are kept on your phone and sent when you're back online. The top of the screen shows how many are waiting. Readings and charts need a connection.

Yes. Open Me and choose your language: English or Kiswahili.

Owners and managers can open the farm's Settings → Export data and download the farm's records as spreadsheet files.

In the app: Me → Account → Delete my account. Without the app, email or call us. Delete your account explains what is deleted and what is kept.

The app is free. You pay for the kit, a rental or the monitoring service under a written agreement with us, never inside the app. See Ways to get Mkuu-lima.
